J.J. Conners is the founder and president of Chestnut Hill Investments. He is responsible for all of Chestnut Hill Investments' development activities including identification of opportunities, sourcing of project equity and management of acquisitions, dispositions, site selection, design, permitting, site construction, vertical construction and leasing.
In addition to his role with Chestnut Hill Investments, J.J. is a Principal with Mandalay Real Estate Partners, a real estate investment and operating company targeting the acquisition of high-quality, well-located assets in an effort to mitigate downside risk, unlock value, and generate attractive returns. J.J. was also a Principal and Chief Development Officer with Fairlead Commercial Real Estate, until the company was sold in October 2016.
Prior to forming Chestnut Hill Investments in 2006, J.J. was the Vice President and Market Officer, North Florida for Flagler Development Company. In that role, he managed all development, leasing, acquisition and disposition activities in Flagler's north Florida developments, which included 3.0 million square feet of existing office and industrial buildings and over 1,000 acres of undeveloped land. Before joining Flagler Development Company, J.J. worked as an Associate for AEW Capital Management in Boston, sourcing, underwriting and managing new office, apartment and condominium developments in London, Toronto, Chicago, and Washington D.C.
J.J. received a Bachelor or Arts Degree from Boston College with a double major in English and Economics in 1992 and a Master's Degree in Economics from Boston College in 1994. He lives in Jacksonville with his three daughters and two golden retrievers.
